Chinese Pre-Wedding Photography in Toronto
A Chinese pre-wedding session (婚纱照) is the unhurried time before the wedding — studio and outdoor, with a few outfit changes from a 秀禾褂 or qipao to a white gown, made for your signing table, save-the-dates, and the album you keep. Orchid Photo has photographed couples across Toronto and the GTA since 2011, in Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Sessions start from $1,580, with wardrobe and styling included.
What looks can we photograph?
Most couples pair one traditional look — a 秀禾褂, 龙凤褂 or qipao (旗袍) — with a white gown and a relaxed casual set, changing two or three times in a single session. We plan the order so hair, makeup and outfit changes flow without rushing, and so each look gets real light rather than a quick frame.
Studio, outdoor, or both?
Both, in one session. We photograph in a controlled studio for clean, editorial portraits, then move outdoors — gardens, the city, or seasonal blossom — for a different mood. Wardrobe and styling are included, and we scout the order around travel and light so the day stays calm.
What do you receive?
Pre-wedding sessions start from $1,580. You receive your gallery as high-resolution images, with the individually retouched selection included per your package — never a bulk-processed batch. The photographs are made to print: for your signing table, a wedding-day display, save-the-dates, or a fine-art album.

Pre-Wedding · Photo + Film

Most couples have their session two to six months before the wedding, so the images are ready for save-the-dates and the wedding-day display. Spring blossom and autumn colour book early — reach out as soon as you have a rough window.
Either works. Many couples bring their own 秀禾褂, 龙凤褂 or qipao; others rent or buy for the session. We help plan the order and styling so each outfit photographs well, and we'll talk through what to bring once we know your looks.
