How Much Does Wedding Photography Cost in Toronto?

Wedding photography in Toronto covers a wide range, and the honest answer depends on the photographer’s experience, how many hours you book, and how much of the day you want kept. Rather than quote a market average we can’t stand behind, here is how Orchid prices a wedding and exactly what moves the number — wedding coverage is customized by package. The recommended package is two photographers across the full day; coverage can begin with a single photographer, and we quote your day once we know the details. Photographs are delivered as high-resolution originals with overall colour adjustment, plus individually retouched photos by package.

What actually moves the price

Three things shape most of the difference between one wedding quote and another: hours, people, and how much is kept. A longer day — getting ready through the last dance — costs more than a half-day. A second photographer, who covers one partner’s morning or a second angle during the ceremony, is an add-on, not a default. And the depth of retouching matters: retouched images are worked on frame by frame — the count depends on the package — slower and more considered than a high-volume studio’s template pass. The camera is the smallest line item; the planning before, the calm on the day, and the care afterward are what you are really paying for. A day with more to cover — a Chinese wedding’s tea ceremony, door games, and evening banquet, for instance — usually asks for more hours. Chinese wedding photography

What’s included — and what’s extra

Every Orchid wedding package includes full-day coverage, your photographs as high-resolution images with individually retouched photos by package, and a private online gallery with full-resolution downloads. What is optional, and priced separately, is what couples most often ask about: a second photographer, a wedding film, styling, a separate pre-wedding session, and printed albums. We would rather name these plainly than fold them invisibly into one number — so you can decide what your day actually needs.

Orchid’s starting prices

We publish where each service starts, so the conversation begins honestly. A pre-wedding session starts from $1,580. Portrait sessions start from $150, and an all-inclusive micro wedding starts from $2,180. Wedding coverage is customized by package — tell us about your day and we quote it. These are starting points — the final figure depends on your hours and any of the add-ons above. For the fuller picture of what each one includes, see our investment page

What you receive, and when

Your photographs are delivered as high-resolution images in a private online gallery, with individually retouched photos by package — retouching arrives about 10 business days after you confirm your selection. Booking is reservation-first and calm: a retainer holds your date, the balance is due before the wedding, and we work by e-transfer, cheque, or cash — no online card processors, no platform fees layered on top. Popular dates tend to go first, so it is worth reaching out early, though we never pressure-book. To see how a wedding day is actually shaped, read our wedding-day guide
