What to wear for Christmas family photos in Toronto
Christmas family photos go best when everyone is warm, comfortable and loosely coordinated. This is how we would prepare for a Christmas session at our Toronto studio, with children, a dog or grandparents in the frame.
Pick a palette, not a uniform
Choose two or three colours and let each person wear a different mix of them. Our Christmas sets are built around white, gold, beige and red, so those colours sit naturally in the frame; sweaters, scarves, hats and gloves add texture. Keep patterns small, leave big logos at home, and avoid putting everyone in the identical top, which tends to flatten a group. Bring one simple outfit for each set you choose: Mini has 1 set and Value has 2. The studio provides festive hair accessories.
Children, pets and grandparents
A session is short, 20 minutes for Mini and 40 for Value, so a fed, rested child and an unhurried arrival matter more than any rehearsal. Pets count toward the party size: Mini covers up to 4 people and Value up to 5, pets included. If you are more than 5, contact the studio to book; each person from the 6th is $30 + HST, paid at the studio. If someone in the family finds stairs hard, or you need to know about parking, ask us when you book and we will let you know before your session.
Why an indoor studio in December
The sets are built and lit indoors, so snow, wind and early dark do not decide the day, which helps a lot with small children and older relatives. You choose from 6 Christmas sets: Mini photographs 1 of them and Value 2. Sessions run through December 22, 2026.
How booking and delivery work
Choose Mini ($199 + HST on weekdays, 8 photos) or Value ($369 + HST on weekdays, 16 photos) on the Christmas page; weekend prices are listed there too. After the session you get a watermarked preview in about 72 hours on business days, choose your photos within 5 days, and we deliver 72 hours after you choose.
