Some weddings are a study in restraint. Janice's was the opposite — and gloriously so. A traditional Chinese ceremony in deep red: the 秀禾 gown and phoenix crown, a stage lit like a dream, and an entrance that arrived through cloud.

Embroidered dragons and phoenixes, gold against red, the slow ceremony of bowing and tea — the symbols carry generations, and the whole room could feel it.
