Tashi & Jeffery
Some stories begin with distance. Tashi and Jeffery met as the world was closing down — she from Bhutan, he from Hong Kong — and built a relationship first across screens and time zones, then, carefully, in person. By the time they married, the hard part was already behind them.
A Wedding at Home
They chose to marry in a garden the groom's father had tended for years — every tree and border the work of one person's patient hands. Getting ready, exchanging vows, celebrating: all of it happened here, surrounded by the people and the place they love most.
The Day
Morning light in the garden. Family in the dress of two homelands. A ceremony witnessed by the friends who had waited through the distance, and a reception that finally let everyone exhale — dancing, candlelight, a cake among the flowers. Jeffery is a videographer; he knows what it takes to make an image, which is part of why he trusted us to document the whole arc of the day rather than only its highlights.
